We very much enjoyed seeing so many people at our recent AGM where Professor William Whyte gave a fabulous talk on the new Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. In addition to being the new home for several of the University's Humanities departments, this exciting new facility will include a concert hall, a theatre, a cinema and an experimental black box theatre space. There will be a bar and a cafe and various public spaces on the lower floors. We will keep you posted on progress.
If you haven't had a look yet, please do take a look at our new website. It is designed to be a resource for local information and events. We intend to gradually build up the History sections, particularly the street by street descriptions. If you know of any interesting information about your street or one of its previous residents, please do let us know on
waltonmanorra@gmail.com.
Our web address is www.waltonmanor.org
Finally, the committee would like to wish all residents a Festive Holiday Season!
