Planning News

We have been made aware that the planning application for the development at 179 Kingston Road has been withdrawn. We have no further information yet as to why, but hope it means they are taking on board various objections that were made. We will keep you posted as we learn more.

Local Events

Residents in Southmoor Road may well now be aware, but there are sewer repairs taking place in the road from 27th June to 10th July. The parking spaces outside numbers 70-90 are all suspended.

Greening Jericho need helpers! This friendly gardening group was set up around three years ago to turn sad and ill-used parts of our community unto attractive places with colourful plants where residents and others can feel safe and enjoy themselves. They have carried out schemes on Mount Place, Victor Street and most recently, opposite the Health Centre on Walton St. They meet on Thursdays 2.30-4.30, usually on Mount Place and often get together for tea afterwards. They would welcome anyone, any age, any level of experience. Jobs include weeding, watering, planting, tying plants, sweeping leaves and occasionally more complex jobs requiring construction or other problem solving skills.

Anyone interested can simply turn up on a Thursday on Mount Place.
