NEWS ITEM

AGM 2023

A fascinating talk about the new Humanities Centre

Over 100 people attended the AGM of the WMRA this year. Full details can be found in the Minutes section of the website but highlights included:

  1. An overview of current planning applications being monitored by our planning team
  2. A financial review of the year
  3. Announcement of the launch of the new website
  4. A wonderful talk by Professor William Whyte who is the Chair of the Project Board for the new Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities

We will endeavour to keep residents informed on the progress of the building over the next eighteen months or so. Once completed many of the facilities inside will be available for use by the public, including a 500 seat concert hall, a 250 seat theatre. a cinema and a black box theatre space.

Thanks go to D'Overbroecks School who had kindly allowed us to use their School Hall on Leckford Road and Mark Jennings and the Rotary Club for use of the public address equipment.
